In Loving Memory of Nancy Edelbrock

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Edelbrock, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend of many in the Edelbrock family. Nancy left this world on June 10, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength.

Born on August 30, 1936, in Evanston, Illinois, Nancy was the daughter of Frederick and Alice Marie Crook, who moved to Hermosa Beach, California, after WWII. From a young age, Nancy’s vibrant spirit and warm heart touched the lives of those around her. An excellent student, she was accepted to Stanford in the fall of 1954 but transferred to the University of Southern California. She was a natural leader. As a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, she became president of Panhellenic and was extremely active in the student senate. She was also a Helen of Troy member for her academic achievements.

She met the love of her life, Vic Edelbrock Jr., while attending USC. After being set up on a blind date, the two became inseparable and were engaged on Christmas in 1958. They were wed on campus at Our Savior’s Chapel on March 21, 1959, embarking on a journey filled with love, adventure, and shared dreams. Their union was one built on mutual respect, trust, and unwavering support, serving as an inspiration to all who knew them. Together, they created a beautiful family and a legacy that will endure for generations to come.

Nancy was an incredible mother to their daughters, Camee, Christi, and Carey, and she approached her role with an unmatched level of devotion and care. She provided unwavering love, encouragement, and guidance throughout their lives. Nancy kept things running as smoothly as possible at home while also joining Vic Jr. on the road at the SEMA Show and many races promoting the company. Nancy’s dedication to her family was unmatched, and her presence will be sorely missed by her three children, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Beyond her family, Nancy was an integral part of Edelbrock, even if she didn’t have an official title. Referred to as “the Real Boss” by Vic, she played an essential role in supporting and nurturing the growth of the iconic Edelbrock brand. Vic would often ask Nancy for her opinions, making her an integral part of the Edelbrock legacy. She was fluent in Spanish and would translate Vic’s speeches during celebrations to make everyone feel welcome. Nancy’s grace, elegance, and commitment to excellence were instrumental in shaping the company’s success.

Nancy’s absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her laughter, her unwavering support, and her genuine love will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Nancy’s spirit will live on through the love and memories shared by all who knew her, and her legacy will live on with the company she helped shape. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Nancy Edelbrock from everyone at Edelbrock Group.
