Olive Branch, MS — The Edelbrock Group Board of Directors announced the promotion of Chris Douglas to President and CEO, effective December 6, 2022. Douglas has been with the company since starting his career as a Sales Technical Representative 20 years ago with COMP Cams before advancing to VP of Marketing, Chief Operating Officer, and President. Upon the merger of Edelbrock and the COMP Performance Group in early 2020, Douglas assumed the role of Chief Commercial Officer with oversight of Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Product Development functions for the company’s five iconic brands.
“While Chris is very passionate about our products and customers, he has demonstrated a steady and measured set of values and principles over his career and, in the past two years, has embodied a keen sense of people, products, and processes to position us to be successful in the future,” Edelbrock Group Board Chairman Phil Fioravante said.
Douglas is a dedicated lifelong motorsports enthusiast who was a professional race car driver before starting his business career at the COMP Performance Group in 2003. He has also been an active member of the Specialty Equipment Marketing Association (SEMA) since 2005, holding multiple Select Committee roles on his way to being elected to two stints on the Board of Directors (2016-2022). Born in Jackson, Tennessee, Douglas now resides in Southaven, Mississippi, with his wife and two boys.
